I got promoted to "CMO"

I started a new role as 'CMO' recently and have a very high demanding Boss:

- I literally work over 100 hours/week including weekends
- Overtime is a new normal. Indeed, I don't know when is my break during the day.
- I have limited to no PTOs. Taking a day off is almost impossible unless I find someone I really trust to back me up only for a few hours.
- This job is changing so fast that I have to pick up new skills and knowledge almost every few weeks. Most of the time, I feel that I'm behind.
- I'm so stressed that I only sleep for 5-6 hours/ night and wake up at least twice in between just to make sure my Boss is doing ok.

On the other side, since taking this role, I've learned and gained these amazing things:

- Treasure the true happiness: I know that family and health are the most important and wonderful things in our life.
- Strengthen my patience and resilience: I almost never give up. Everyday is a new day, keep moving forward.
- Become a better leader with compassion: Understand that difficult situations can happen to people at different phases of life.
- When I'm not feeling well, I know I can share, ask for help and learn to help others.

As a Chief Mother Officer ('CMO'), I understand that taking care of your family, your baby 'Boss' and yourself are not easy during a pandemic. Things will slowly get better. Tomorrow will be a new day.

Mental health should never be left unsaid. Be open and reach out for help.

One day when we look back, this is the hardest and the most fulfilling job we've done in our life.
