- Be in the office early, at least 1 hour before working hour.
- Make sure you have a proper breakfast.
- Note down what you need to do for a day and rank them in order of their priorities.
- Say Hi to people and ask how they are doing but keep it short. Save long "catching-up" conversations for lunch or afternoon break.
- Clean up your mailbox for 30 mins then start working all top items with high priority on your list without checking any emails (or chat messages) until you're done with them.
Remember 2 key things:
- You stay on top of things by responding to people requests even before they open their mailbox or follow up.
- You then use the time when people are working on your responses to double down on things that are important on your list and need deep focus. That's how to deliver high quality of work in a fast pacing environment.
